The Scribe is the Troop secretary. He attends PLC meetings and keeps a log of discussions. To apply for this position the Scout must meet the following criteria:

To become a Scribe a Scout must meet the following criteria:

• Active status
• At least 1st Class rank
• Successfully held an elected troop Leadership Position

Specific Duties:

• Attends and takes notes at PLC meetings.
• Provides minutes from the PLCs to the SPL for the Troop Committee Meetings.
• Is responsible for the Troop's monthly newsletter.
• Sets a good example.
• Wears the uniform properly and to all Troop meetings and activities.
• Lives by the scout oath and Law.

The tenure of this position is for 6 months. To receive leadership credit for this position the Scribe must participate in at least six Troop meetings and participate in at least two PLCs per quarter.
