Troop Quartermaster (QM)
The Quartermaster
(QM) is responsible for all Troop supplies and equipment.
He keeps a current inventory of the Troop equipment and
sees that it is in good working condition. He also checks
supplies and equipment out to the Patrol QMs and must ensure
that all items are returned.
Requirements:
To become an QM a Scout must meet the following criteria:
- Active status
- At least 1st Class rank
Specific Duties:
- Maintains an inventory of all Troop
Equipment and reports lost, broken or missing equipment
to the SM.
- Insures all gear is in good and safe
working condition.
- Is responsible for checking out and
checking back in all Troop and Patrol gear.
- Attends the PLC.
- Sets a good example.
- Wears the uniform properly and to
all Troop meetings and activities.
- Lives by the scout oath and Law.
The tenure of this position is
for 6 months. To receive leadership credit for this position
the QM must participate in a minimum of six Troop meetings,
one PLC meeting and at least 60% of all Troop camping activities
per quarter.
