Troop Order of the Arrow (OA)
Rep
The
Order of the Arrow (OA) Representative serves as a communication
link between our local OA Chapter and the Lodge and our
Troop. He promotes camping and OA in our Troop while encouraging
older Scouts to participate in high adventure programs.
To apply for this position the Scout must meet the following
criteria:
Requirements:
To become an OA Rep a Scout must meet
the following criteria:
- Active status
- At least 1st Class rank
- Ordeal member in the OA
Specific Duties:
- Attends OA Chapter meetings and reports
back information to our Troop.
- Coordinates OA Elections in the Troop
with the Chapter.
- Promotes Ordeal members to obtain
their Brotherhood rank.
- Promotes Camping and High Adventure
programs in the Troop.
- Attends the PLC.
- Sets a good example.
- Wears the uniform properly and to
all Troop meetings and activities.
- Lives by the scout oath and Law.
The tenure of this position is
one year. To receive leadership credit for this position
the OA Rep must participate in at least six Troop meetings,
participate in at least three OA meetings at Roundtables,
and participate in the annual Troop OA elections and attends
at least 50% of all Troop campouts per quarter.
