Assistant Patrol Leader (APL)
This
junior leadership position will provide and promote leadership,
service, spirit and unity in the Troop. I will perform my
duties so they are fun and rewarding not only to myself,
but also for the scouts in the Troop.
Requirements:
Scout must meet the following criteria:
- Active status
- At least scout rank
Specific Duties:
Assist the patrol leader in:
- Planning and leading patrol meetings
and activities.
- Keeping patrol members informed of
troop activities via phone, e-mail, text message, etc..
- Preparing your patrol to take part
in all troop activities.
- Take charge of the patrol in the absence
of the patrol leader.
- Attends the PLC.
- Sets a good example.
- Wears the uniform properly and to
all Troop meetings and activities.
- Lives by the scout oath and Law.
The tenure of this position is
for 6 months. To receive leadership credit for this position
the APL must participate in a minimum of six Troop meetings,
one PLC meeting and at least 50% of all Troop camping activities
per quarter.
